All our hire vans can be taken from Guernsey to Jersey, the UK and Europe. We must be notified if a van is intended to be taken off island at time of quoting. The vans are insured for you to drive under a dedicated specialist van hire vehicle policy.
Van rental requires you or your driver holds a clean valid category B (car) driving license, have no previous driving bans or license endorsements and have no criminal convictions. The license(s) to be presented to us on collection of the van. And for insurance purposes the driver to be between 25 and 70 at the time of hire.
With at least 7 working days notice it can be possible to arrange insurance cover for older drivers, those with license endorsements/previous driving bans and those with criminal convictions. However this is not guaranteed, is fully at the discretion of our insurance company, and must be organised in advance. An admin fee of £25 is payable if the extended cover application is accepted.
All vans come with the equipment legally required to drive in most Europe*
Each hire van has:
2 x hi-viz vests, first aid kit, spare bulb kit, red warning triangle, breathalyser kit, fire extinguisher.
Each van is covered by the AA Specialist hire vehicle breakdown cover as standard. The vans have trackers fitted for your peace of mind and your good’s safety. The vans are supplied with 4 x ratchet tie-down straps. A sack truck is offered free of charge if requested.
*Beam benders for headlights are not supplied. It is the customer’s responsibility to supply, fit and remove beam benders for driving in Europe. It is the hirer’s responsibility to supply their own country specific equipment, if anything is needed in addition to the safety equipment list above.

Please note our warehouse is not staffed 24/7 and van hire is only part of our business. Please do not pop in unannounced expecting to see vans or for any other queries.
